Expressions​ ​of​ ​interest​ ​will​ ​be​ ​considered​ ​​and​ ​selected​ ​with ​the​ ​residents of Victoria Avenue who​ ​will​ ​be hosting​ ​the​ ​works,​ ​alongside​ ​the​ ​ArtHouses​ ​team.​ ​Time​ ​and​ ​support​ ​will​ ​be​ ​built​ ​in​ ​to​ ​allow for​ ​a​ ​conversation​ ​to​ develop​ around​ ​the​ ​artists'​ ​practice​; ​between​ ​artists,​ ​the​ ​ArtHouses​ ​team​ ​and​ ​householders; ​enabling​ the householders ​to​ ​become​ ​advocates​ ​for​ ​the​ ​art​ ​and artists​ ​whom​ ​they​ ​are​ ​hosting.

ArtHouses 2019 will be taking place on Victoria Avenue, Whitley Bay on the evenings of 17th and 18th August 2019

ArtHouses is an event that is hosted by residents of the street, where homes, gardens and public spaces become the venue for two evenings of contemporary visual arts. Now in its 10th year, ArtHouses develops new situations for artists to present work, engage new audiences with contemporary arts practice and contribute to a developing sense of community in Whitley Bay.
